THE ESSENTIAL RULES AND THEIR
COROLLARIES
Rule 1: NEVER NOSH (HAVE FUN-FOOD) ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
Corollary: Low-calorie/non-caloric liquids, especially combined with spongy (water absorbing) food, are your best friend immediately prior to having a meal.
Sub-Corollary: After eating, plan your next meal or snack, including having your liquid/spongy food filler at-the ready.

Michael B. Zemel, U. of Tennessee-Knoxville found extra-calcium in form of non-fat milk consumed by mice: 60% body fat, 25% overall weight loss vs. 8%/11% on same diet but absent added calcium. Under low-calcium conditions the "agouti" gene, team found, directs calcium channels to open, activating fat synthesis while sukkppresing fat breakdown.
